About Us

Brian and Leann Doering began their journey in campground ownership 8 years ago in their plight in finding the right piece of property with an established business to take over and start a new chapter of an already eventful life.

They acquired Pebble Mountain Family Campground in 2014 after looking at several properties from New Mexico to finally landing in the small town of Chuckey, Tennessee, nestled alongside of the Cherokee National Forest. With 41 campsites with various electrical, water and sewage configurations, It was exactly what they were looking for considering it was not a pavement park but rather rustic in nature. From basic primitive tent to full hookup 50 amp sites, they knew they could offer a range to accommodate any type of camping for vacationers to full time living experiences.

The nature of the campground along with its majestic view, you will find a variety of critters from squirrels running along treetops to an occasional bear making his way through the creek. Late autumn and into the winter is when the creek flows the most. Its power as a force in nature can be heard during the day and when everything becomes still throughout the night. Evenings take on a whole new life with the smell of hotdogs and hamburgers to steak and campfire baked potatoes the aroma is nothing short of what camp life is all about.

For Brian and Leann this chapter has been a labor of love not only for them but their four legged companions which they consider children and the hundreds of individuals that have chosen to come and stay and often come back to Chuckey, Tennessee’s best kept secret to the RV Park and camping community.
